"Guy Burton, a visiting professor at the Brussels School of Management in Belgium, believes that although the relationship between the United States and Saudi Arabia is at a low ebb, Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries have no intention of abandoning the United States as a traditional partner, and their contacts with China are more concentrated on the economic, trade and investment level. "The United States and China have some common interests in the Middle East, and both Washington and Beijing want to maintain order and stability in the region. If this summit helps achieve these goals, it will be good for both China and the United States."

"China is the biggest buyer of Saudi crude, accounting for about a quarter of Saudi oil exports. But Burton predicts that the agreement signed by China and Arab countries will not only cover the energy field, but also finance, technology, real estate, health care and other fields. This is in line with the economic diversification strategy that the Arab countries have been pursuing."
